Carol Brown to Announce Campaign for Legislature
Thursday, August 25 in Lincoln
Carol Brown of Lincoln will officially begin her campaign to
represent the people of District 46 in the Nebraska Legislature on
Thursday, August 25th, in Lincoln.
Brown's campaign announcement will begin Thursday at 3:15 pm at the
Engine House Café in Havelock at 6028 Havelock Ave. Media are
welcome and encouraged to attend.
"I live, work and breath to protect the quality of life we enjoy in
Lincoln's neighborhoods" Brown said. "Neighborhoods and the families
in them, make up the soul of our cities and State. I am running to
Preserve, Promote and Protect that which affects our neighborhoods
by tackling issues such as healthcare, eminent domain, and job
creation through economic development, small business growth and
equitable return of gas tax revenue."
Carol and her husband John are owners of a small business, North
Star Jewelry, located at 26th and Superior. Carol was employed in
the healthcare industry for 20 years and has lived in North Central
Lincoln for the past 25 years. She is currently employed as a
Business Development Specialist at Lincoln Action Program for
LanguageLinc Interpretation Services.
Carol currently serves as the Chair of the Mayor's Neighborhood
Roundtable, Lincoln Neighborhood Alliance Board, and "Keep Kids
Alive Drive 25" coordinator for Lincoln. Carol has also served on
several committees for Lincoln/Lancaster County addressing
infrastructure Finance and Hometown Security.
