Family
Carol's Family:
I was born and raised on a farm in the Northeast part of
the state and am the second to youngest of 13 brothers
and sisters. I went to school in a one room schoolhouse
until 3rd grade when my brothers and sisters and I were
bused into town to attend school. I know rural Nebraska.
I came to Lincoln in 1971 and worked at the Veterans
Hospital until I married my husband of over 30 years. John is
a graduate of Northeast High School.
Shortly after we married, we moved to Pennsylvania where
John managed a jewelry store but we missed the Midwest
and our families. So 2 years later we returned back to
Northeast Lincoln and have been here ever since. John's
family lived in Northeast Lincoln and this is where we
feel like we belong. I know North Lincoln.
John and I have lived in the 46th District for over 19
years and we own a small business in the 46th District.
I know what it's like to run a small business in
Nebraska.
John and I have two sons: J.R. is
currently deployed to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spencer is a student at the University of Nebraska
Lincoln.
